Experts at OAS Round Table to Debate Economic Perspectives for Latin America in 2012

The Organization of American States (OAS) and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) will convene renowned experts from the region on December 8 at OAS headquarters in Washington, DC, for the XXXVII Policy Round Table debate on the subject, “Economic Perspectives of Latin America 2012: Transformation of the State for Development.”

Participants at the meeting, which begins at 10:00 EST (15:00GMT), include the Deputy Director of the OECD Development Center, Carlos Álvarez, and the Director of the Washington Office of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), Inés Bustillo.

Comments on the discussion will be made by the Director of the OAS Department for Effective Public Management, Robert Devlin. The Round Table will be moderated by the Director of the OAS Department of International Affairs, Irene Klinger.
