TIC Americas Once Again Recognizes Young Entrepreneurs

The competition program for youth in the Americas - Talent and Innovation Competition (TIC)- organized by el Young Americas Business Trust will celebrate the final stage of its 2011 edition on June 2 and 3 in Hotel Princess of El Salvador, in the framework of the XLI General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS).

On Thursday, June 2, at 18:00 local time (Friday at 00:00 GMT), the Secretary General of the OAS, José Miguel Insulza, will participate in the launch of the “Leadership Network” and welcome the finalists and participants in TIC Americas 2011 in the categories of Talent and Innovation, EcoChallenge and National Prizes TIC El Salvador. On Friday, June 3, at 15:30 local time (21:30 GMT), Secretary General Insulza and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of El Salvador, Hugo Martínez, will participate in an awards ceremony.

TIC Americas, organized by the Young Americas Business Trust, an affiliate of the OAS, is an international competition of business creation and motivation for young entrepreneurs. It is aimed at individuals up to 36 years of age who have a viable project or business. It is also aimed at those entrepreneurs who have started a business but need feedback in their business plans. Forty-four teams participate in the 2011 edition, selected during a process involving some 4,000 young people from around the world.
