OAS SECRETARY GENERAL TO DISCUSS RESULTS OF
FOURTH SUMMIT OF THE AMERICAS

Organization of American States (OAS) Secretary General José Miguel Insulza will be the keynote speaker at a conference on “The Mar del Plata Summit: Results and Challenges Ahead”, scheduled to take place on November 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, at The George Washington University’s Jack Morton Auditorium in Washington, D.C.

A panel discussion will follow the Secretary General’s presentation, with experts discussing the Declaration and Action Plan adopted November 5 by the heads of state and government at the Fourth Summit of the Americas in Mar del Plata, Argentina. The panelists are United States Ambassador to the OAS John Maisto and Argentina’s Ambassador to the OAS Rodolfo Gil, as well as a civil society representative and one from the private sector. Former OAS Assistant Secretary General Luigi Einaudi will moderate the discussion.
