World Bank President to Present at the OAS the Economic and Social Outlook for Latin America and the Caribbean

The President of the World Bank, Jim Yong Kim, will be the keynote speaker at the Lecture Series of the Americas to be held on April 23 at the headquarters of the Organization of American States (OAS) in Washington, DC.

At the event, entitled "Economic and Social Outlook of Latin America and the Caribbean," President Kim will analyze the challenges facing the region in terms of development, economic growth, social inclusion and poverty, a few days after finishing the joint Spring Meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), in which participants debate the global economy, international development and financial markets.

The event will be opened by the OAS Secretary General, José Miguel Insulza, and will conclude with an exchange between President Kim, Secretary General Insulza and the audience.
