Inter-American Juridical Committee Celebrates its 78th Regular Session

The Inter-American Juridical Committee (CJI), an advisory body to the Organization of American States (OAS), will hold its 78th Regular Session at its headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from March 21 to April 1st.

The meeting, to be inaugurated on Monday the 21st at 15:00 local time (20:00 GMT), will address the following topics: peace, security and cooperation; participatory democracy and citizen participation ; access to justice in the Americas; the International Criminal Court; reflections on an inter-American jurisdiction of justice; implementation of International Humanitarian Law in OAS Member States; cultural diversity in the development of international law; migratory topics; freedom of thought and expression; and private international law.
