OAS Opens Application Period for 2014-2015 Scholarships

The Organization of American States (OAS), through its Department of Human Development, Education and Culture, has opened the application period for the Program of Academic Scholarships for Graduate and Undergraduate Studies during the 2014-2015 academic cycle.

The scholarships are intended for students who are citizens and residents of OAS Member States and who want to engage in Masters or Doctoral studies, or research leading to an advanced degree in a member country of the hemispheric organization, with the exception of their own country of citizenship or residence.

The field of study of the applicant must relate to the priority areas established by the OAS Member States in the Strategic Plan for Partnership for Integral Development, such as social development and the creation of productive employment; education; economic diversification and integration, trade liberalization and market access; scientific development and the exchange and transfer of technology; strengthening of democratic institutions; sustainable development of tourism; or sustainable development and the environment and culture.
