OAS Presents Report on the Human Right to Water and Sanitation

The Organization of American States (OAS) will present the report "Implementation of the Human Right to Water and Sanitation in the framework of the PIDS" on Tuesday, March 19 at 14:30 EDT (18:30 GMT) in the Rubén Darío Room of the General Secretariat of the OAS located at 1889 F St, NW, Washington, DC.

The document, prepared by the OAS Department of Sustainable Development, describes the situation surrounding the human right to water and sanitation considering the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals. The book studies the cases of Costa Rica, Mexico, Honduras and the Dominican Republic to analyze the implementation of the human right to water and sanitation.

The main speakers at the launch will be the President of the Departmental Assembly of Valle del Cauca, Colombia, Yessica Vallejo, and the Director of Catholic University of Mexico La Piedad Campus, Alejandra Salinas Bravo.

The Inter-American Program for Sustainable Development constitutes the most important strategic platform in the Americas for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda.
