OAS Permanent Council Receives Foreign Minister of Guatemala and Continues Debate on Human Rights

The Permanent Council of the Organization of American States (OAS) will hold two special meetings on Monday, February 25, 2013. In the first, the Council will receive the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Guatemala, Luis Fernando Carrera Castro, at 11:00 EST (16:00 GMT) in Simón Bolivar Hall at the headquarters of the organization in Washington, DC.

At 15:30 EST (20:30 GMT) the second meeting will take place in Simón Bolivar Hall to continue the debate on the process of reflection on the Workings of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights for the Strengthening of the Inter-American Human Rights System.
