OAS Co-hosts Workshop on Cooperation Effectiveness in Quito

  February 21, 2011

The Organization of American States (OAS) is co-hosting a sub-regional workshop on cooperation effectiveness, titled, "Cooperation Effectiveness: the South American Chapter," to be held February 23 and 24, 2011, in Quito, Ecuador.

The workshop is part of the Organization's agenda to promote cooperation effectiveness in Latin America and the Caribbean, and is designed to inform national authorities about trends and key issues in international discussions and engage them in an exchange of ideas. One of the purposes of the workshop is to promote a more active and better coordinated regional role in international cooperation forums, particularly in view of the Fourth High-Level Forum (HLF-4) on Aid Effectiveness, to be held in Busan, South Korea, in late 2011.

The event will be co-hosted by the OAS, through the technical secretariat of the Inter-American Cooperation Network (CooperaNet), and the Government of Ecuador, through the Technical Secretariat for International Cooperation (SETECI).

The event will be broadcast here.
