THE LATIN-AMERICAN ECONOMIC OUTLOOK REPORT 2009, PREPARED BY THE OECD, WILL BE PRESENTED AT THE OAS

The Latin-American Economic Outlook report 2009, prepared by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), will be presented during the Fifteenth OAS Policy Roundtable of the Organization of American States (OAS), next Tuesday, March 24th.

The program of the event, that will take place at the OAS Headquarters in Washington DC, includes OAS Secretary General, José Miguel Insulza, and the Director of the OECD Development Centre, Javier Santiso, who will be presenting the report.

Following Mr. Santiso’s presentation, Nancy Birdsall, President, Center for Global Development, and Augusto de la Torre, World Bank’s Chief Economist for Latin America & the Caribbean Region will comment on the OECD report. The Roundtable will end with a questions and answers session moderated by the Director of the OAS Department of International Affairs, Irene Klinger.

The Fifteenth OAS Policy Roundtable will be webcast live through the OAS website (www.oas.org).
