Each year the OAS Secretary General publishes a proposed Program-Budget for the coming calendar year. The OAS General Assembly meets in a Special Session to approve the Program-Budget. Find these documents from 1998-2013 here.
Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

Secretary General Insulza Inaugurated Youth Forum in Cartagena

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, participated today in the inauguration of the youth forum of the Young American Business Trust (YUBT) in Cartagena, Colombia.
The opening of the event was the first activity of Secretary General Insulza in the Colombian city, where he arrived today to take part in the meetings leading up to the Sixth Summit of the Americas, which takes place this weekend in Cartagena.
The Forum, titled “Youth: Partners in Prosperity,” which will continue until Friday, was inaugurated by Secretary General Insulza along with other business and academic leaders from the hemisphere. The chief representative of the OAS toured the Forum installations, surveying the projects of the young entrepreneurs.
The YABT is a non-profit organization, made up of young people who work on youth policies and share the objectives and goals of the OAS and the Summit of the Americas, to promote and implement programs that encourage the entrepreneurial spirit in the region to fight poverty and create opportunities for young people.
