The Organization of American States (OAS) and The Bahamas will offer 25 scholarships to citizens of The Bahamas, in the framework of the Ninth Inter-American Meeting of Ministers of Education in Nassau.

Under the agreement, the OAS will mobilize its institutional partners, negotiating tuition reductions and waivers and other concessions on behalf of the government of the Bahamas. For its part, The Bahamas will leverage its national scholarships program, covering a percentage of the cost of study.

Studies will take place within member states of the Hemisphere as well as in OAS Permanent Observer Countries.
