Each year in April, the OAS Board of External Auditors publishes a report covering the previous calendar year’s financial results. Reports covering 1996-2016 may be found here.

The Chair of the Permanent Council and Permanent Representative of Suriname, Niermala Badrising, met today with the candidate for Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS) and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay, Luis Almagro, at the headquarters of the hemispheric Organization in Washington, DC.
Ambassador Badrising and Foreign Minister Almagro discussed the process of choosing the next head of the Organization. The meeting took place before the Council meeting in which the candidate for Secretary General of the OAS presented his vision for the Organization.
Also present at the meeting were the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay, Luis Porto; the Permanent Representative of Uruguay to the OAS, Hugo Cayrús; the Secretary General of the National Drug Board of Uruguay and former Permanent Representative of Uruguay to the OAS, Milton Romani; and the Chief of Staff of the Assistant Secretary General of the OAS, Carmen Lucía de la Pava.
