The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, today received the board of the América Solidaria Foundation, together with representatives and volunteers from the institution´s recently established U.S. chapter, in his office at OAS headquarters in Washington DC.

During the meeting, Secretary General Insulza discussed some of the opportunities for collaboration offered by the OAS, based on its experience with other programs focused on vulnerable populations, such as the Judicial Facilitators Program, among others.

The meeting, led by the CEO of América Solidaria, Benito Baranda, and the Executive Director in the United States, Sebastian Villarreal, was also attended by the Permanent Representative of Chile to the OAS, Juan Pablo Lira, and the Chief of Development and Engagement Officer of Atlas Corp, which supports the work of América Solidaria, Abby Flottemesch.
