The Chief of the Electoral Observation Mission of the Organization of American States (EOM/OAS) in Bolivia, former Guatemalan President Álvaro Colom, was received today by President Evo Morales, two days before the general elections that will take place in the country on Sunday, October 12.

During the meeting, in which the Director of the OAS Department for Electoral Cooperation and Observation (DECO), Gerardo de Icaza Hernández, was also present, the Chief of Mission related to President Morales the details of the Mission in the country, which is composed of 62 observers of 22 different nationalities.

On Sunday, the observers will be deployed to nine departments of the country.
