OAS Electoral Mission in Antigua and Barbuda Deploys Observers in all the Constituencies of the Country

The Electoral Observation Mission (EOM) of the Organization of American States (OAS) to the general elections in Antigua and Barbuda deployed today, election day, 16 of its members to the 17 constituencies of the country.

The observers were present at the opening of polling stations and during the vote itself in voting centers, as well as during vote counting and the publication of results. Rosina Wiltshire, designated Chief of Mission by the Secretary General of the OAS, José Miguel Insulza, and Deputy Chief, David Álvarez Veloso, visited eight voting centers during the day.

During their visits, Wiltshire and Álvarez Veloso spoke with the heads and members of voting centers, police officers and candidates, as well as journalists and citizens of Antigua and Barbuda.
