Minister MacKay, for his part, invited Secretary General Insulza to participate in the Halifax International Security Forum, which will bring together from November 22 to 24, the highest military and academic authorities in the field of security and defense from Canada and the world.

The Canadian Minister is attending the meeting of the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB) in Washington, DC. During the conversation, the two authorities agreed to highlight the role and relevance of the IADB and the need to move to a more precise definition of its relationship with the OAS.
