PREAL is a joint program of the Inter-American Dialogue in Washington, D.C., and the Corporation for Development Research (CINDE) in Santiago, Chile. Since its creation in 1995, PREAL's objective has been to contribute to the improvement of education quality and equity by promoting informed debate on education policy and reform as well as the identification and dissemination of best practices and the monitoring of educational progress in the countries of the region. www.preal.org/Ing/Quienes.asp

The Central American Educational and Cultural Coordination (CECC/SICA) is an institution of the Central American Integration System (SICA) which acts as Technical Secretariat in the fields of education and culture and promotes cooperation and integration in these fields. CECC / SICA’s members are Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic. The institution facilitates communication, information, regional decision making and promotes various exchanges between the authorities and officials of the Ministries of Education and Culture.

Teachers Without Borders is a leading nonprofit organization in the field of international education and teacher professional development. TWB works to advance the quality of human welfare globally by empowering teachers as local leaders in their own communities. IRA since 1956, IRA has been a nonprofit, global network of individuals and institutions committed to worldwide literacy. SABER-Teachers team, Human Development Network, World Bank is a work program within the Human Development Network’s Education Sector of the World Bank. It is part of the SABER initiative (Systems Approach for Better Education Results) which aims to help the World Bank and its development partners identify actionable priorities for strengthening education systems and equipping children and youth with knowledge and skills for life. The SABER-Teachers initiative collects, analyzes, synthesizes, and disseminates comprehensive information on teacher policies across countries around the world.
