"My internship with the Office of the Special Rapporteur provided me with great opportunities to put the concepts I was learning about in my constitutional law and international law courses into practice. Not only did I get lots of responsibility for reviewing petitions and writing draft opinions, but I also was able to play an active role in the Office's advocacy for freedom of expression by organizing conferences and writing reports for publication. The people in the Office are great to work with and I truly felt like I was having a direct impact on the lives of others. I would highly recommend the internship experience to anyone interested in international human rights. The experience is unlike anything you'll find anywhere else!"
