First-year
Evaluation and Outlook |
The electronic newsletter info @ CITEL has
completed its first year on the network with success: over
135 articles and news items and 4,300
subscribers (as of June 23, 2005), who have joined a community of
readers and collaborators interested in the latest developments in the
telecommunications sector.
The concept of this project remains as we outlined
it a year ago: to create an electronic newsletter for each and every
one of you readers, the hundreds of people who access it, whether the
e-mail version or the online version located on the
CITEL Web page.
Our goal is to provide rigorous information on information and
communications technology to these thousands
of readers not only from the Americas but
also from other regions.
Our task is a great responsibility and a great
commitment. We know that, in order to maintain interest and broad
distribution, we must always strive for fluid, ongoing dialogue. We
must plan activities with a forward-looking spirit, making good use of
available resources and readers’ interests. We believe that the
outcome has been very positive and auspicious, judging from the
support and congratulations received from various readers.
With such a positive outcome, it behooves us to
continue on this path and strive for the growth of the project. Over
the coming years, we hope this newsletter will become a regular forum
for ongoing, open dialogue and responsible discussion among the
various actors in the telecommunications sector. We are deeply
grateful for the support we have received and for the opportunity
offered us. We hope to have acquitted ourselves of the task.
To all our friends, thank you.
