  • COMMCA receives the Ibero-American Equality Prize from the Cortes de Cádiz
    [March 16th 2013]
    Maureen Clarke Clarke, President of the Council of Women Ministers of Central America and the Dominican Republic (COMMCA), accepted the Ibero-American Equality Prize from the Cortes de Cádiz on behalf of that institution. The prize seeks to recognize and foster policies and actions for the promotion and defense of equality between women and men.

  • We must put an end to impunity once and for all

    On March 4th 2013, the CIM President addressed the 57th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), whose priority theme this year is the prevention of violence against women and girls. The President called for an end to impunity and a greater focus on prevention, monitoring and evaluation.
