• Domestic servitude in the Americas

  The 52nd OAS Policy Roundtable on "Raising Awareness of Domestic Servitude in the Americas" brings perspectives from multiple sectors to public policy formualtion in the areas of domestic work, violence against women and trafficking in persons.

• Analysis of parity in Bolivia, Costa Rica and Ecuador
  [June 19th 2013]
  CIM and International IDEA launch a joint study that provides a critical and systematic analysis of the processes that led to the adoption of parity in Bolivia, Ecuador and Costa Rica and that evaluates the implementation of these norms to-date, with the aim of identifying lessons learned that can serve as a reference point for the region.

• OAS sheds lights on the growing number of women in prison for drug-related crimes
  [June 3rd 2013]
  The Secretary General of the OAS noted in opening the CIM round-table “Women and Drugs in the Americas: A working analysis” that “the issue of drugs has a strong gender dimension that is still invisible in the research and reports produced to date” but that "media coverage and what little information we do have suggest that women’s involvement in marketing drugs has increased significantly.”
