CIDI Working Group to analyze and assess the functioning of all OAS scholarships and training programs

The CIDI Working Group to analyze and assess the functioning of all OAS scholarships and training programs was established by CIDI resolution CIDI/RES.316 (LXV-O/16) “Authorization of the use of the Capital Fund for the OAS Scholarship and Training Programs to meet scholarship commitments and establishment of a partial temporary pause” adopted at the meeting held December 13, 2016.

The aforesaid resolution established an immediate and temporary pause in the awarding of new graduate scholarships in 2017 in the framework of the Academic Scholarship Program and established a Working Group of the Inter-American Council for Integral Development (CIDI) tasked with the analysis and assessment of the functioning of all OAS scholarships and training programs and requested it to present to CIDI and the Permanent Council, before July 31, 2017, its recommendations and solutions to ensure the sustainability of those programs.
