OAS Scholarship Program for Haiti
On September 8, 2011, Ambassador Ramdin, Assistant Secretary-General of the OAS, officially launched the OAS Scholarship Program for Haiti at a ceremony carried out at the OAS Office in Haiti in the presence of Representatives from OAS Member and Observer States, Representatives of the Haitian State, Representatives of local universities and members of the Haitian press.
Through this three to five year program, the OAS and its partner institutions are granting scholarships to Haitians living in Haiti to allow them to pursue Masterâ€™s degrees online in the field of international development management and health services management, as well as short training programs in areas such as: emergency management, management, criminology, community policing and epidemiology. Scholarships were also granted for a training program specially developed for Haitian teachers.
Programme de bourses de lâ€™OEA pour HaĂŻti
Lors dâ€™une cĂ©rĂ©monie tenue au Bureau de l'OEA en HaĂŻti, en prĂ©sence des reprĂ©sentants des Ă©tats membres, Ă©tats observateurs de lâ€™OEA, des reprĂ©sentants du gouvernement haĂŻtien, des reprĂ©sentants des universitĂ©s locaux et des membres de la presse haĂŻtienne, l'ambassadeur Albert Ramdin, SecrĂ©taire GĂ©nĂ©ral Adjoint de lâ€™OEA, a officiellement lancĂ© le programme de bourses de lâ€™OEA pour HaĂŻti le jeudi 8 septembre 2011. A travers ce programme, l'OEA et ses institutions partenaires octroient des bourses Ă des haĂŻtiens vivant en HaĂŻti pour poursuivre des programmes de maitrise a distance en gestion du dĂ©veloppement international et, en administration des services de santĂ©, des programmes a courte durĂ©e dans des domaines tels : la gestion des urgences, l'entrepreneuriat, la criminologie, la police communautaire et Ă©pidĂ©miologie et dâ€™un programme de formation conĂ§u pour les enseignants haĂŻtiens au cours des trois prochaines annĂ©es.
Teacher development training program
this certificate program aims at supporting teachers to, among other things, improve the learning of their students, explore intelligence theory application in the classroom, prepare and take security measures to face natural disasters such as earthquakes and hurricanes, and become mentors and leaders in their schools and communities. The program leads to an online certificate and portfolio allowing the graduate to advance their careers and offer their competencies and expertise to projects managed by Teachers without Borders. The inauguration ceremony of the program took place on Monday, August 8, 2011, with the presence of Ms. Catherine Pognat, Officer-in-Charge of the Haiti OAS Office, Mr. Patrick AttiĂ©, Assistant Director of the Haiti lâ€™Ecole SupĂ©rieure dâ€™Infotronique and Mr. Hugues Carre, Assistant Director of the Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation.
Renforcement des cadres pour lâ€™enseignement et lâ€™apprentissage
Ce programme de certificat vise Ă aider les enseignants Ă , entre autres, amĂ©liorer lâ€™apprentissage de leurs Ă©tudiants, explorer les applications de la thĂ©orie des intelligences multiple en salle de classe, prĂ©parer et prendre des mesures de sĂ©curitĂ© pour affronter les dĂ©sastres naturels tels le sĂ©isme, lâ€™ouragan, et Ă devenir des mentors et leaders dans les Ă©coles et leurs communautĂ©s. Ce programme mĂ¨ne Ă un certificat et un portfolio en ligne, permettant aux graduĂ©s de faire avancer leurs carriĂ¨res et de contribuer leurs compĂ©tences et expertises Ă des projets gĂ©rĂ©s par les Enseignants sans FrontiĂ¨res. La cĂ©rĂ©monie dâ€™inauguration de ce programme a eu lieu le lundi 8 Aout 2011 en prĂ©sence de Madame Catherine Pognat,Chargee dâ€™Affaires a.i du Bureau de lâ€™OEA en HaĂŻti, M. Patrick AttiĂ©, Directeur Adjoint de lâ€™Ecole SupĂ©rieure dâ€™Infotronique dâ€™HaĂŻti,et M. Hughes Carre, Directeur Adjoint du MinistĂ¨re de la Planification et de la CoopĂ©ration Externe.
The OAS Student Internship Program is designed for undergraduate, graduate and young professional student to allow them to work within their fields of study. The program although unpaid is very competitive. The OAS has 28 national offices and some special programs located in the member states. Internships are available in almost all of the offices and this will allow interns to choose whether they prefer to work in their home country or in another office.

The OAS Academic Scholarship Program (Regular Program), established in 1958, grants scholarships every year for the pursuit of Masterâ€™s Degrees, Doctoral Degrees and Research leading to a degree. The OAS Special Caribbean Scholarships Program (SPECAF), established in 1983, grants scholarships for the last two years of undergraduate studies to citizens and residents of the English-speaking Caribbean OAS Member States. In addition to these programs the OAS, through its Partnerships Program for Education and Training (PAEC), is able to offer other attractive scholarship opportunities for academic studies with the support of its partner institutions in the Americas and around the world.

The OAS - Rowe Fund loan program for studies in the United States was established in 1948. This program grants financial aid in the form of interest-free loans for up to $15,000 dollars for graduate, research, and the last two years of undergraduate studies, including semester exchange programs.
