Inspector General
Mr. MartÃn Guozden, a national of Argentina, was appointed Inspector General of the Organization of American States on November 1, 2012. He has more than fifteen years of private and public sector experience in auditing, accounting, risk management, internal controls, information technology, operations, business processes and strategy.
Prior to joining the Organization of American States, Mr. Guozden was Lead Specialist Auditor at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). His background also includes serving as Audit and Business Advisory Manager at Arthur Andersen in Argentina. He taught auditing courses at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA) as well. In addition, he has served as member of the Supervisory Committee of a Credit Union and as Treasurer in a Non-for-Profit Organization.
Mr. Guozden holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Universidad Nacional de La Plata in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He also holds a Master of Science in Business and Management, from the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland. Additionally, he has several professional certifications, including Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA - Argentina and USA), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
