Carmen Lucía de la Pava

Chief of Staff of the Assistant Secretary General

A citizen from Colombia, Miss Carmen Lucia de la Pava Abad holds a degree from the Faculty of Legal and Socioeconomic Sciences of Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá, a Master’s Degree in Financial Law from Universidad del Rosario, and an LLM in International Law from the Washington College of Law, American University in Washington DC.

Before joining the Organization, where she worked first in the Department of Legal Services and later at the Office of the Secretariat for the General Assembly, the Meeting of Consultation, the Permanent Council and Subsidiary Organs, the Chief of Staff served, inter alia, as a member of the Mission of Colombia to the OAS, Advisor to the Chief of Staff of the President of Colombia, and Vice President of the Institute of Industrial Development (IFI) in that Member State.
