Trafficking in persons is a violation of human rights and a form of modern-day slavery. The complexities of human trafficking require a multi-faceted and coordinated response from all sectors of society in countries of origin, transit and destination.
Following-up on the Work Plan Against Trafficking in Persons in the Western Hemisphere 2010-2012, adopted by resolution AG/RES. 2551 (XL-O/10), and in order to exchange information and expertise on the crime of trafficking in persons, as well as to promote cooperation among national authorities responsible for the prevention, prosecution and comprehensive assistance and protection of the victim of trafficking in persons, please find the information submitted by the Member States regarding the Legal Frameworks, Public Policies and National Programs against trafficking in Persons.
