The General Secretariat of
the Organization of American States and the National Police of
Colombia are pleased to invite police delegates from all Member
States of the Hemispheric Organization to participate in a
police training course which focuses on the transfer of
experiences and theoretical and practical knowledge relating to
police intelligence processes.

Objective:
Facilite the transfer of capacities and professional skills through
the exchange of experiences and the identification of good practices
in police management. This seeks to foster the establishment
of forums to learn and share experience related to the
implementation of policies of transparency and accountability in the
context of police modernization, as applied by the Chilean Police of
Investigation, as well as to promote these practices by the police
in the region.

First Training on "Police
Development in the 21st Century" - in collaboration with Carabineros de Chile
Objective:
Share knowledge and develop skills in relation to the analysis
of the criminal reality and police management. This training is
addressed to police officers as a means for them to foster change in
their national police, hereby contributing to the harmanious and
standardized development of the institutions. Furthermore, this is
intended to establish ground for common initiatives, through the use of
