04. Police Personnel (Males, percentage)
"POLICE PERSONNEL (MALES, %)” represents the total number of Male Police Personnel, as a PERCENTAGE of the total number of Police Personnel (Males & Females).
It is calculated as follows: Male Police Personnel, Rate (MP) = (TNMP/TP)*100; where TNMP is the total number of Male Police Personnel; and TP is the total number of Police Personnel (Men & Women).
POLICE PERSONNEL" means personnel in public agencies as at December 31 whose principal functions are prevention, detection and investigation of crime and apprehension of alleged offenders. Data concerning support staff (secretaries, clerks, etc.) should be excluded.
