Andrea Salinas started working in the DSD/OAS in
June 2006, in water-related projects, among others the UNESCO-OAS ISARM
Project on Transboundary Aquifers. She is now part of the team working
on chemicals management in the Americas. The initiative tries to address
different specific problems arising from the use of Persistent Toxic
Substances and their implications on international trade.
Andrea is a Geographer, who has worked extensively
in geomorphological research in Bolivia, her home country. She is fluent
in Spanish, English and German. Before joining the OAS, she worked in
development projects related to natural disasters and water resources
management. |
