Olga Morales started working
for the Department of Sustainable Development in January 2009, joining a
working team to implement the
Inter-American Biodiversity Information Network Project (IABIN). The
goal of this 5-year project is to provide accessible and standard
biodiversity information required by the 34 countries of the Americas to
improve decision-making, particularly on human development and biodiversity
issues. Likewise, she is currently working on the implementation of a Coral
Reef Restoration and Watershed Management Demonstration Project for the
Caribbean as well as a Capacity Building Program for the Western Hemisphere
Migratory Species Initiative (WHMSI).
Ms. Morales is originally
from Bogota, Colombia. She holds a bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering
from The Universidad de los Andes located in Bogota, Colombia. |
