Carolina Pena
started
working for the Department of Sustainable Development in 2001
assisting on the Natural Hazards Project.
In 2003, she left the OAS/DSD to
work at the Pan-American Health Organization, where she was supporting the
execution of School Health Programmes and Promoting Healthy
Municipalities and Communities. On July 2004, she joined a working
team at the OAS/DSD to implement the
Inter-American Biodiversity Information Network Project (IABIN). The
goal of this 5-year project is to
provide accessible and standard biodiversity
information required by the 34 countries of the Americas to improve
decision-making, particularly on human development and biodiversity issues.
Also she coordinates the design and updates of the
DSD website as well as
that of the Office's projects.
Ms. Pena is originally from Bolivia. She holds
a bachelor degree in Business Administration from Universidad Privada de
Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
Currently pursuing a
Master’s degree in Environment and Energy Management
at George
Washington University. |
