Renewable Energy and Climate Change

The Department supports efforts to advance renewable energy technologies and projects, as well as supporting policies. It serves as the Regional Secretariat for Latin America and the Caribbean Region to the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) and also coordinates the Renewable Energy in the Americas (REIA) Initiative.

The Renewable Energy in the Americas (REIA) initiative provides for long-term hemispheric cooperation in renewable energy and energy efficiency for sustainable development and climate change mitigation. (click on image)
