Special meeting of the Caribbean Caucus on Natural Disasters:  the Ambassador of Trinidad and Tobago chaired a special meeting of the Caribbean caucus to examine regional initiatives in the area of natural disaster risk reduction.  The meeting, organized with the Department for Sustainable Development (DSD), comprised of briefings from DSD on its strategy on risk reduction, from the World Bank on its regional insurance facility for the Caribbean, from the Inter-American Development Bank on its recently-approved Disaster Risk Management Policy, and from the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Response Agency (CDERA) on its recent program of work for the Caribbean region. Summary of the meeting ...
