The Department of Sustainable Development (DSD) of the OAS is pleased to join the United Nations (UN) in the celebration of the International Year of Forests, with the slogan “Sustainable Forest Management for the People of the Americas,” in its efforts to increase awareness of the importance of forests. The DSD has been developing initiatives to promote this importance, providing support to sustainable forest agendas and the regional exchange of information, experiences, and lessons learned, among others.
