The Herbarium
Areqvipense (HUSA) of the University National de San Agustin de
Arequipa, home to 12,000 samples of botanical collections. Aware of the
enormous value of information, its usefulness is limited by the lack of
availability of data for each specimen. This proposal aims to create a
database of species of flora and thus provide free access to exploit the
information by a greater number of users. The intention is to digitize
11,000 specimens in the course of nine months, it is estimated that most
includes approximately 3,000 species, whose cost will be $ 0.91 per
specimen, sought $ 10,000 to IABIN. As well as the final result will be
published as an article in a scientific journal circulation nationally
and internationally. In addition will provide a list of species with
scientific and common names. |
