Thematic Network: Invasive Species

1. Summary: Taking into account many studies being carried out in Colombia on invasive species, the results of these are: (i) currently dispersed among regional institutions or held by researchers with expertise in the issue, (ii) that the access to this information is restricted or not available for consultation given that Colombia does not have a national system to organize and access results and data from the aforementioned research, and the country is still starting to recognize the need of sharing primary data in a digital environment. The Project aimed to create a system to identify and compile available primary and secondary information on invasive species and make this available to the general public for consultation.
