Summary: |
Using the donation
of information in records, catalogues and bibliographical literature,
the researchers and institutions associated to the project shall build a
database of species of Chile. This database will be up to 16,158 species
each one with its respective biological description, additionally it
will be provided a digital thesaurus. The present project is compromised
to digitize information of complete taxonomic group (100 %) or
quasicomplete (nearby to 100 %), which being equivalent to register near
54 % of the biodiversity recognized for Chile. In this unique effort in
the country, there take part three active researchers of academic and
patrimonial institutions, additionally with the support of CONAMA and
IABIN's Focal Point. The project will have a duration of 11 months, and
there has an efficiency of U$ 0.6 each record. |
