Summary |
The Noel Kempff Mercado Natural
History Museum is a research center dependent of the Universidad
Autónoma Gabriel Rene Moreno, currently, the NKM museum holds the
scientific collections of the flora, vertebrate fauna, paleontology and
geology.
Scientific collections of vertebrate fauna currently
has more than 30.000 specimens, these collections are being reorganized
and revised as well as he databases since, approximately 30% of the
specimens collected have not been catalogued and only 40% is
systematized in a database. In this context, the execution of this
project will allow these specimens of the NKM museum and the information
associated to be systematized and become available for the national and
international communities through the website, following the standards
and protocols of IABIN
