1.    Summary:

Since 2002, SIB-APN is steadily and systematically loading biological records obtained from 35 protected areas and four animal species which are natural monuments, all of which are part of the protected area and species system managed by the APN. Up to now more than 126000 records of more than 35000 species of animals, plants, fungi, algae and bacteria were collected coming from 3116 sources of information. From March to August 2007, and through the activity of one volunteer, 736 new species –from which 684 where georreferenced, and more that one thousand new records were added. Due to the volunteer period finished, and knowing that there is not any immediate possibility to renew it, we are requesting the IABIN assistances for a twelve months period with mid-time job to continue the tasks done with the purpose to fill the big amount of information (with metadata and georreference) about the taxonomic groups mentioned.
