This informal dialogue hosted by UNEP and the OAS considered
the possible establishment of a Working Group on Trade and
Environment for Latin America and the Caribbean. Such a Working
Group could provide a forum for stakeholders, such as governments,
non-governmental organizations, and the private sector in the region
to discuss capacity-building needs, exchange experiences and develop
responses to regional challenges. It was structured in four informal
sessions and participants where divided in groups to address the
questions in the annotated agenda.
