Enhancing public participation and effective enforcement of environmental laws

The DSD is supporting the improvement in              mechanisms related to the effective enforcement of      domestic environmental laws. This will be achieved         through the identification of institutional  and              capacity-building needs at the country and regional          levels in the Andean Community, the Caribbean          countries and Central America.

In this area, the DSD is executing  key activities, including: 

(1) A compilation of  existing and proposed trade Agreements that contain environmental provisions and citizen submissions or similar processes;. More...

(2) An analyses of administrative and institutional requirements;

(3) Identification of recommendations on best-practices related to effective enforcement;
