Over the past year, the DSD has focused on assisting Caribbean States in anticipating and/or mitigating real or
potential threats to their social, economic and environmental security such as: natural hazards; energy price shocks:
food scarcity, land degradation, chemical contamination, loss of biodiversity and water scarcity.
