Evaluation of Stakeholder meeting:

“I have changed my view on OAS meetings for the Caribbean. The Caribbean Representatives had an excellent opportunity to speak out”.-Stakeholder Meeting participant-

Objectives of Stakeholder meeting:

  • The main objective of this stakeholder meeting is to generate consensus on concrete recommendations and suggestions on the outline and main areas of focus of the distance course.

  • These recommendations will be used to craft the content of the course through amendment and adaptation of the content of a similar course originally created in the Spanish language and piloted in Peru in 2006.

  • The stakeholders will discuss the current landscape of education for democratic citizenship in the Caribbean and will analyze challenges (gaps) to and opportunities (resources) for citizenship education.

Participants are asked to come the stakeholder's meeting with a minimum understanding of the course materials.  A review of the Table of Contents (at least) is appreciated in order to achieve the workshop's objectives.
