Creating Jobs to Fight Poverty and Strengthen
Democratic Governance
MAR DEL PLATA, Argentina - The region's
presidents and prime ministers met here to debate how best to
achieve sustained economic growth, create decent work, raise the
standard of living and promote democratic stability. At the
conclusion of the Fourth Summit of the Americas, they adopted a
political declaration and an ambitious plan of action that will help
set the agenda for the OAS and the region in the coming years.
