On December 23, 2003, Paraguay
designated the "Dirección de Asuntos Legales" of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the central authority for the
Inter-American Convention on the International Return of
Children (In charge: Tomás Rocholl; Address: Juan E´Oleary

(450-790); fax: 595-21-493-910).
On December 8, 2003, Uruguay
designated the Advisory Services Central Authority for
International Legal Cooperation under the Office of
International Legal Cooperation and Justice of the Ministry
of Education and Culture to facilitate mutual assistance, as
set forth in Article XIV.1 of the Inter-American Convention
against Corruption (Director: Dr. Eduardo Tellechea Bergman;

the Advisory Board on Economic and Financial Matters of the

On December 4, 2003, Bolivia
deposited the instrument of ratification to the
Inter-American Convention on International Traffic in
Minors.
On November 25, 2003, Guatemala
signed the Inter-American Convention on Serving Criminal
Sentences Abroad, with declarations.
On October 23, 2003, Chile
deposited the instrument of ratification to the
Inter-American Convention against the Illicit Manufacturing
of and Trafficking in Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives, and
Other Related Materials.
On October 23, 2003, Argentina
deposited the instrument of ratification to the Additional
Protocol to the American Convention on Human Rights in the
Area of Economic, Social and Cultural Rights "Protocol of
San Salvador".
On October 2, 2003, Nicaragua
deposited the instrument of ratification to the
Inter-American Convention on International Commercial
Arbitration.
On August 21, 2003, Honduras
designated the Superior Court currently directed by Renan
Sagastume, to handle requests for assistance and cooperation

attorney Rigoberto Córdova Laitano to handle requests for

On July 24, 2003, Ecuador
designated the Attorney General of the Nation as the Central
Authority for the Inter-American Convention on Mutual Legal
Assistance.
On July 21, 2003, Nicaragua
designated the Office of Public Ethics of the Presidency and
the Foreign Ministry as the Central Authority for the
Inter-American Convention against Corruption. |
