According to the [Inter-American Program for the Protection of Human Rights of Migrant Workers], there are two fundamental tools which aid the Program in achieving its goals: the [Special Sessions of the Committee on Juridical and Political Affairs on the Human Rights of Migrants] and the [OAS Secretary General’s Work Plan].

The Program and it’s follow-up components work together in a symbiotic relationship of continual evolution, feedback and growth. First, the Inter-American Program provides a set of activities and best practices for OAS entities and member states to implement. Second, the Secretary General’s Plan of Action provides a timetable and detailed activity schedule for the implementation of these activities and best practices. And, finally, the Special Sessions provide a forum for OAS Member States to evaluate the operation of the Program and to receive new sets of activities and best practices for incorporation therein.
