Treaty Law
From July 19 to 22, the Department
of International Law took part in the Seminar on
Treaty Law in Nassau, Bahamas, organized by the
Secretariat of the Caribbean Community and the
Office of the General Counsel, in cooperation with
the European Union. The department made two
presentations on that occasion, one on the process
of the adoption of treaties in the OAS framework,
and the other on practical experiences in this field
and mechanisms for follow-up and implementation.
This was a great opportunity for the department to
continue strengthening relations with the community
of scholars, professors, and public officials
involved in the field of international law, in order
to promote greater understanding of the
inter-American system among the Caribbean countries.
