WHY CHOOSING THE OAS?

The Organization of American States is the only multilateral organization that offers to its interns the opportunity to participate in a Model of the Permanent Council

It is a simulation of the Permanent Council of the OAS where interns represent each of the 33 OAS Member States and engage in general debate to discuss, negotiate, and approve resolutions related to current Hemispheric issues, advocating their assigned countries' policies and interests.

Participants benefit from this activity by using negotiation and diplomacy as problem solving instruments, practicing their communication and public speaking skills. This is a great and unique opportunity for them to improve their leadership skills and also do some networking since all Permanent Missions are involve in this model
