PLACE AND DATE OF THE FORTY-SECOND SPECIAL SESSION OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO CONSIDER AND ADOPT THE 2012 PROGRAM-BUDGET

THE PERMANENT COUNCIL OF THE ORGANIZATION OF AMERICAN STATES,

CONSIDERING that at its fortieth special session, the General Assembly, through resolution AG/RES. 1 (XL-E/10) rev. 1, resolved to convoke a special session of the General Assembly to consider and approve the 2012 program-budget, to be held no later than October 31, 2011; and

BEARING IN MIND that it is necessary to determine a place and date to hold the special session of the General Assembly,

RESOLVES:

1. That the forty-second special session of the General Assembly to consider and approve the 2012 program-budget will be held on October 31, 2011, at the headquarters of the Organization.

2. To bring this resolution to the attention of the Preparatory Committee for the forty-second special session of the General Assembly.
