DATE OF THE THIRTY-THIRD
REGULAR SESSION OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY

THE PERMANENT COUNCIL OF THE ORGANIZATION OF AMERICAN STATES,

CONSIDERING that, in resolution AG/RES. 939 (XVIII-O/88), the General Assembly recommended that the first Monday in June of each year be set as the opening date for its regular sessions and that, in resolution AG/RES. 1687 (XXIX-O/99), it determined that the thirty-third regular session of the General Assembly would start on the first Monday in June in the year 2003;

HAVING SEEN the note presented by the Permanent Mission of Chile (CP/doc.3665/02), requesting a change of date for the thirty-third regular session of the General Assembly and proposing that it be held on June 8-10, 2003, in order to facilitate the participation by member states in other multilateral fora scheduled for the first week in June 2003,

RESOLVES:

1.     To set June 8, 9, and 10, 2003, as the dates for the thirty-third regular session of the General Assembly.

2.     To request that the Secretary General transmit this resolution to the organs, agencies, and entities of the Organization.
